Kaza di Vedra Mas Krensa / House of the Younger Dragon
Poesia na Kristang, with an English translation
kung Saguati di Muleh-Muleh Gabadu di 21-O2
with a Gift from the Proud Women of 21-O2
Impoku tizala, impoku di sal,
bomong spasu pra Deus-Deus na kada kintal.
Agu sa pedra mas grandi di kal
ngua kantiga mutu tantu forsa ja sai di botel.
Machukah pinsel:
pena kung pena desah champurah prepresta.
Chai drumih, pastu bebeh; sapatu sa fineza
teng menus-menus fatu na kadangua medensa.
Nang dibeh. Chegah subezu mel
pra pintah sol sa lumi dosi,
alma sa repairu ja konstrah na wirung, kombros, telis,
kedra, quinsel petal-petal:
floris sa abrih mundu nubu sa bangsal.
A few pots, a little bit of salt;
enough space for gods in every courtyard almost to a fault.
The water's stones bigger than that which is caught
in a song, with so much force, coming out of the bottle's mouth.
Crush the pencils:
pens and sins want to mix quickly.
The tea sleeps, the birds live; the shoes' finery
at every measurement have less and less jewellery.
Don't worry.
Enough honey will arrive to paint in sunshine; sweetly
is the respite of the soul built out of one, two, three,
four, five petals in base-16;
the opening of flowers is the new world's refuge and sanctuary.
